Dahlias are a genus of bushy, summer- and autumn-flowering, tuberous perennials that originated in Mexico. In the US, they grow primarily in temperate climates. These flowers are considered quite flamboyant. I especially enjoy their variations in color, pleasing texture, and excellent symmetry.
